Our client - a luxury beachside cafe/restaurant located on the Great Ocean Road, Apollo Bay - is searching for the right person to help lead their kitchen brigade as Sous/2nd Chef in this beautiful location by the ocean.

As the Sous Chef, you will be resonsible for assisting the Head Chef with the supervision and control of the kitchen including kitchen staff, as well as cost control, food hygeine and daily meals. You will also help to ensure a high level of food presentation and service standards at all times, and have excellent communication with guests, public and other Hotel staff.

The lifestyle in Apollo Bay is relaxed and open. The Town’s location on the ocean provides for a variety of aquatic leisure activities including superb fishing. This restaurant is the best and busiest operation in Apollo Bay!

Competencies required:

- Qualified Chef (min 1-2 years as Sous Chef)
- Menu Planning
- Functions and Restaurant experience
- Cafe/Restaurant experience
- Understands the local food and wine in area

- Ability to reside and work in Apollo Bay (accommodation assistance is available and would suit a couple)
- Cost control, financials and purchasing experience
